Peer Review Process

The Journal of Health Research and Development (JOHERD) applies a rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review process to ensure the quality, originality, scientific integrity, and relevance of all published articles. Neither authors nor reviewers are informed of each other's identities throughout the review process.

Manuscript Submission

Authors submit manuscripts through the online journal system.

Initial Editorial Screening

The editorial team evaluates the manuscript for scope, formatting, originality, and compliance with journal policies.

Plagiarism Check

Manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with unacceptable similarity levels may be rejected.

Reviewer Assignment

Eligible manuscripts are assigned to at least two independent reviewers based on their expertise.

Double-Blind Review

Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodology, significance, clarity, and scientific contribution.

Editorial Decision

Based on reviewer recommendations, the editor may issue one of the following decisions:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject

Author Revision

Authors revise the manuscript and submit a response to reviewer comments within the specified timeframe.

Final Decision

The Editor-in-Chief evaluates the revised manuscript and makes the final publication decision.

Copyediting & Production

Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting, layout editing, proofreading, and DOI assignment.

Publication

The final article is published online and made openly accessible to readers.
